Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) — ImmiTalents

1.General Questions & Platform Identity

ImmiTalents is a technological platform and licensed Temporary foreign worker recruitment agency based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. We act as a professional bridge to simplify international career mobility. We connect skilled candidates, global employers, and regulated immigration legal experts (lawyers, notaries, consultants) in a unified, secure digital ecosystem. By integrating the job search directly with verified immigration assistance, we demystify the complex path of international relocation.

  • Temporary foreign worker recruitment agency : ImmiTalents Inc. is a licensed Temporary foreign worker recruitment agency governed by Quebec’s CNESST (Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail) under Permit No. AR-2504666.
  • Not a Law Firm: ImmiTalents is a technology provider. We do not practice law, we do not provide legal representation, and the informational resources on our platform do not constitute professional legal advice. All legal consultations are routed to independent, authorized experts.

We provide a digital workspace that connects candidates, employers, and legal experts to streamline international mobility.

  • For Candidates: The platform serves as a central hub to manage your profile and track application status. You can also reorient your immigration strategy with minimal effort; our network of legal experts can help you assess and adjust your path between different jurisdiction while ensuring you remain compliant.

  • For Employers: It provides a centralized dashboard for sourcing, reviewing, and initiating legal engagement, reducing administrative overhead by standardizing the recruitment workflow.

While our recruitment pipeline is currently focused on Canada, we are rapidly expanding our database of sponsored job roles to the world’s top economic destinations. We are actively increasing opportunities in high-demand markets, including but not limited to :

  • Americas: USA.

  • Europe: UK, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain.

  • Asia-Pacific: Australia, Singapore.

  • Middle East: UAE.

Because immigration laws are strictly national and highly regulated, ImmiTalents does not provide legal advice or prepare applications ourselves. Instead, our platform’s automated routing logic ensures that you are only connected to independent, licensed professionals (lawyers, notaries, or immigration consultants) who are legally authorized to practice within your specific destination’s jurisdiction.

How our Immigration Assistance tool helps: When you launch our Immigration Assistance tool, our system analyzes your target country and dynamically filters our network. This ensures you are sequentially matched with an expert licensed in that exact geographical jurisdiction, guaranteeing fully compliant, authorized local representation regardless of the borders you are crossing.

ImmiTalents is matching platform, our core service stops at matchmaking. Final candidate screening, background checks, document verification, and visa applications are handled directly by users via authorized representatives, official government channels or external tools.

To maintain strict neutrality, ImmiTalents does not sponsor, endorse, or financially partner with any third-party background check, AI-interviewing, or CV parsing software. These links are provided solely to help you run a complete, self-service hiring pipeline.

No. ImmiTalents does not provide translation services or handle physical move logistics. Candidates must secure certified translations for their immigration files independently, and utilize official government-funded settlement programs or private relocation assistance to coordinate their arrival.

If you are matched with an immigration lawyer or consultant through our Immigration Assistance tool, they can often coordinate certified translations of your documents as part of their legal mandate or connect you directly with certified translators within their professional networks or connect you with pre-arrival settlement services.

Standard job boards are “high-noise” environments; they allow anyone to apply, regardless of whether they have a legal right to work in the destination country. This forces employers to manually screen out thousands of unqualified candidates. ImmiTalents is a “compliance-first” platform. We treat immigration feasibility as a primary filter. Our matching engine doesn’t just look for “keywords”; it ensures the candidate’s profile is pre-aligned with the requirements of the job location. By filtering for sponsorship eligibility and regulatory alignment before a connection is made, we turn “talent acquisition” from a screening nightmare into a precision process.

2. For candidates (global talents)

ImmiTalents transforms the international job search by combining recruitment and immigration support into a single, seamless platform. Instead of searching blindly for overseas roles, candidates can access job postings from vetted employers authorized and willing to provide work visa sponsorship. We eliminate the guesswork of moving abroad by matching you directly with a global network of legal immigration experts who handle the transition. Best of all, the entire platform—from creating your profile and applying to jobs, to using our Immigration Services—is completely free for candidates.

ImmiTalents is dedicated specifically to international mobility. You can create your international professional profile, highlight your language proficiencies, upload your CV, and browse job postings listed by vetted employers who are actively looking to hire and sponsor foreign workers.

Yes. Access to the platform, creating your global talent profile, searching for job openings, applying to positions with visa sponsorship, and utilizing our Immigration Services are 100% free of charge for all candidates globally.

Absolutely not. ImmiTalents does not collect any placement fees, “success fees,” or deduct any percentage from your future salary. Under our terms of use, employers are strictly prohibited from charging candidates any recruitment, administrative, or application fees.

If you request immigration assistance (such as closed work permit applications, Express Entry profiles, or provincial nominee programs), our proprietary matching engine queries our global network for an authorized legal professional. The system matches you with an expert who is licensed in your destination country, speaks your preferred language, and specializes in your exact case type. Once matched and accepted, you are introduced directly to the expert.

Using the ImmiTalents Immigration Services to find a professional is free. However, any formal legal representation or consultation services you contract directly with the matched lawyer or consultant are subject to their independent professional fees. These financial arrangements are made directly between you and the expert.

Charging candidates for job offers, application processing, or visa sponsorship is a severe violation of our terms and global labor standards. If an employer demands payment from you, do not pay them. Please report the incident immediately by our contact form or emailing info@immitalents.com so we can take immediate action, including account suspension.

ImmiTalents does not file visa applications. You or your matched legal expert must submit your final files directly to the official portals:

For credential verification:

We highly recommend practicing your response timing, speaking pace, and eye contact using the standard camera or voice recording utilities on your own device. Focus on structuring your answers using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to keep your explanations concise and complete within typical 2-minute limits. Reviewing your own recorded rehearsals is one of the most effective, zero-cost ways to build confidence and refine your pacing.

Yes. These steps can be completed using official, independent resources:

  • Certified Document Translation: For immigration files, you must use a certified translator. In Quebec, search for a certified professional using the OTTIAQ Directory (or the ATIO Directory in Ontario).

  • Free Relocation & Settlement Support: You can register for free orientation, housing resources, and employment readiness services before you arrive via the government-funded IRCC Pre-arrival Services Gateway.

3. For employers (hiring international talent)

ImmiTalents operates on a tiered SaaS subscription model designed to scale with your international hiring volume. While initial platform registration is free, employers must select an active paid subscription tier to actively recruit. Higher tiers unlock advanced platform benefits, including:

  • Increased or unlimited active job postings.
  • Deeper search access to our global candidate talent database.
  • Integrated Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Immigration Services network.

All specific tier rates, daily processing limits, and active features are published transparently on our platform’s billing portal. Pricing is subject to change with a minimum 30-day notice to existing subscribers. All subscription payments are non-refundable.

To prevent fraudulent job listings, visa scams, and to ensure candidate safety, all employers must complete a secure Know Your Business (KYB) and verification process. ImmiTalents handles verification manually upon account creation. Your employer account dashboard, candidate search, and messaging features are activated only once your account has been manually reviewed and approved by the ImmiTalents team.

No. In strict compliance with Canadian, Quebec, and international labor standards, employers are prohibited from charging candidates for recruitment, application fees, or job placement promises. Any violation of this policy will result in the immediate and permanent termination of your employer account with no refund of subscription fees.

You can run a complete, compliant international hiring loop using independent tools.

  • CV Parsing & AI Screening: For high-volume, multilingual AI-led voice interviews and parsing, we suggest tools like Talent Unlimited or Affinda.

  • Background Checks: For compliant international screening, use providers like Certn or First Advantage.

How our Immigration Assistance tool helps: Sourcing international talent requires strong corporate immigration compliance. Employers can use our Immigration Assistance Tool to connect directly with corporate immigration lawyers who can guide your HR teams on labor market compliance and handle corporate immigration filings.

Traditional immigration agencies often bundle expensive legal fees with general administrative tasks, charging high hourly rates for activities like resume screening, document collection, and basic applicant communication.

ImmiTalents “unbundles” these services. By using our SaaS platform, you pay only for your subscription to access our high-quality talent pool and automated screening tools, while legal services are handled separately by independent experts only when needed. This prevents you from paying “law firm rates” for simple recruitment tasks, significantly reducing your overhead while providing you with more transparency and control over your international hiring process.

Full-service agencies often act as “gatekeepers,” controlling your relationship with the candidate and charging success fees that can reach 15-25% of a first-year salary. ImmiTalents acts as a “technological facilitator.” We put you in the driver’s seat.

  • Transparency: You see the candidates who match your criteria, and you manage the communication directly.

  • Control: You are not locked into a specific lawyer or consultant chosen by an agency; you have the freedom to select from our vetted network of independent, licensed professionals.

  • Cost: We replace “success fees” and agency overhead with a predictable SaaS pricing model, drastically cutting costs,  giving you more hires for your budget.

4. For legal experts & legal partners (authorized professionals)

To accept client referrals through our platform, you must be a licensed lawyer (provincial, state, or national bar member), notary, or registered legal immigration expert (such as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant – RCIC, or equivalent registered professionals in other countries) in good standing with your respective professional regulatory body, and carry active professional liability insurance. Our network of legal partners is truly global, connecting users with authorized immigration specialists from various jurisdictions around the world.

No. General onboarding, directory listing, and receiving anonymized case referrals from our system are completely free for verified experts. In accordance with legal ethics regulations, ImmiTalents does not collect referral percentages, commission fees, or split professional legal fees with our partners.

To maintain high standards of service on our platform, experts must adhere to two clear SLA deadlines:

  • Diligence SLA: We do not use a partner dashboard. Instead, legal partners receive secure, anonymized client referral leads directly via email. You are expected to accept or reject these email referrals within three (3) calendar days of receipt.
  • Contact SLA: Once you accept a referral, the process moves to Stage 2, triggering a mutual exchange of details. The candidate/contact receives your professional contact information, and you (the expert) receive their contact and case details. You are then contractually obligated to make initial professional contact with them within ten (10) business days.

To comply with our provincial CNESST recruitment agency reporting obligations, ImmiTalents requires legal partners to update high-level, anonymized milestone statuses (such as “Work Permit Filed” or “Visa Approved”). This tracking uses unique case reference numbers (RefIDs) and is completely stripped of any personal, nominative, or confidential client information to preserve attorney-client privilege.

Yes. Authorized professionals are highly encouraged to contribute immigration news, policy updates, and articles to the ImmiTalents blog and newsletter. While entirely optional, this contribution increases your professional visibility across our global network of candidates and employers.

5. Relocation follow-up

ImmiTalents maintains a strict, zero-tolerance policy against any form of fraud, job scams, fake employment offers, and predatory recruitment practices. We manually verify each employer upon account creation, and their dashboard is activated only after approval by the ImmiTalents team. However, because international relocation carries unique vulnerabilities, we encourage all users to remain highly vigilant throughout the hiring process.

You must never pay an employer, recruiter, or third party for a job offer, Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), or visa sponsorship. Under our terms of use, employers are strictly prohibited from charging candidates any placement, administrative, or application fees. If an employer demands payment at any point, refuse and report the incident immediately to info@immitalents.com with any supporting screenshots or emails.

To ensure the transition is smooth and safe, ImmiTalents conducts proactive relocation follow-ups. We periodically check in with placed candidates via email after their arrival in the host country to verify that working conditions, compensation, and duties align with the signed contract. This check-in serves as a vital feedback loop and safety check for the global talent in our community.

If you discover that your job offer is fraudulent, that the employer is non-compliant, or that you are being subjected to exploitative conditions after relocation, safety is the top priority. Please contact us immediately at info@immitalents.com. ImmiTalents will instantly suspend the offending employer’s account and block them from the platform. While ImmiTalents is a technology platform and not a party to the employment contract, we will immediately connect you with our global network of legal partners and local advocacy resources to help you understand your options, such as transitioning to an open work permit, reporting to local labor boards, or safely securing alternative placement.

All suspicions of fraud, contract misrepresentation, unethical behavior, or professional misconduct should be reported directly to our contact form or info@immitalents.com. Please include the name of the employer or legal expert, your Case RefID (if applicable), and any documentation, emails, or chat logs that support your claim. All reports are handled with maximum confidentiality and undergo thorough internal investigation.

You can run an instant corporate check to verify whether an employer is legally registered. Use these official government directories:
